Film Club Oct. 5 & 8

Join us for a free sci-fi double feature in conjunction with Sci-Fi Day this October!

First, we'll screen the second--and arguably best--film in the Star Trek franchise released in 1982 and directed by Nicholas Meyer on Wednesday, October 5, at 6 :30 p.m.

Second, we'll screen the Hugo Award-winning film adaptation on Carl Sagan's novel Contact released in 1997 and directed by Robert Zemeckis on Saturday, October 8, at 2 p.m.

"After a lifetime of searching, a scientist discovers a radio signal from extraterrestrial life. But when the signal contains plans for a mysterious machine, fear over its purpose may destroy her dreams of making contact."

Starring Jodie Foster, Matthew McConaughey, and Tom Skerritt.
