Roll the Dice on Game Day!

Grab some friends and prepare to roll the dice at Indiana Free Library Game Day on Wednesday, April 11, as part of National Library Week. Players may help themselves to a variety of card, board and video games throughout the day, with special featured games hosted by library staff from 6 to 8 p.m. Game Day is free and open to the public.

During Open Play from 2 to 4:30 p.m. players may challenge friends to a musical showdown with Dance Dance Revolution or Guitar Hero on the Nintendo Wii or sit down to a classic board game in the second floor community room.

Parents and children are encouraged to play together during Family Play from 6 to 8 p.m. in the children's department. Family Play will feature the entertaining and educational party game Apples to Apples Junior, as well as Nintendo Wii games and assorted board games.

Also from 6 to 8 p.m. gamers 14 and older are invited to the second floor community room for Advanced Play, which will feature The Legend of Drizzt Board Game based on the popular fantasy character appearing in the best-selling novels by R. A. Salvatore. Perennial favorite The Settlers of Catan will also be on hand, along with the Apples to Apples party game and great traditional board games.

Spring into Reading Used Book Sale

The Indiana Free Library will hold its Big Annual 2-Day Spring into Reading Used Book Sale on Saturday, April 14, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, April 15, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. All proceeds will go to support the library. Donations for the sale are welcome; please call the front desk for donation details. Nothing grows on you like a good book!

Film Club April 4

Join us for a free screening and discussion of an eye-popping 2010 comedy based on the Scott Pilgrim graphic novel series on Wednesday, April 4 at 6 pm.

"Scott Pilgrim must defeat his new girlfriend's seven evil exes in order to win her heart in this eye-popping comedy from the director of Shaun of the Dead."
